This summer I visited TCNJ (The College of New Jersey) for the third time.
While I've met/listened to admissions reps on all three visits, this time something surprising was mentioned.
The rep who addressed the visitors said that, essentially, having AT LEAST calc. honors was required to be seriously considered as a future TCNJ student.
I have NEVER heard this before, and it made me extremely nervous.
I understand that TCNJ is becoming quite popular, and, therefore, the requirements have become more advanced.
HOWEVER, my intended major (special ed.) has little to do with the mathematical field, and I've spent much more time and effort on subjects such as english and spanish.

I've completed Algebra I, II, and Geometry. This senior year, I will be taking Prob & Stat, in order to focus less on the subject which seems less necessary for my college and professional career.
Though I will admit that I dislike and struggle more in math-related subjects, I have done very well in every math class I've taken.

My question is...has anyone been accepted to TCNJ without a calc. background?
Is it possible for me to be accepted without higher-level math classes?
