How important is ELC for UCSD

Is ELC a really big deal? Is there a percentage that tells the chance of getting accepted?

In my University of California booklet:

The ELC Student Admit Rate was 88.4%

Is it for all UC's or for UCSD?

I do not know whether UCSD's ELC admit rate is 88.4% or not. It might be. But for sure it is not for all UC's. All UC's have different ELC admit rate and if for getting into one UC it will be 100%.

UCSB, UCI, UCD, UCSC, UCR, and UCM all guarantee admission for ELC applicants.

And for UCB and UCLA their acceptance rate hovers around 50%.

i wish i had elc...

does this also apply to the ELC number of the Statewide eligibility.

Only top 4% have the 88.4% statistic associated with them, I think statewide was 12%?

Peppers i was talking about

**" UCSB, UCI, UCD, UCSC, UCR, and UCM all guarantee admission for ELC applicants.

And for UCB and UCLA their acceptance rate hovers around 50%." **

Does the same rule apply to the statewide eligibility.

Jinks, statewide eligibility only guarantees your admittance to at least one UC. In the past, UCR and UCM seem to fall under that category. The other UC's like UCI, UCD for example does not guarantee admittance to a student that qualify under the statewide elibibility.
