I have two letters of recommendations ready for when i apply in October...i have one from my math teacher and another from my chemistry teacher..but i was wondering...do they even take that into consideration? i kno universities that wont even look at them.

No they definately look at them they’re not required but why would you NOT send them if you already have them? I just sent in my application with 3 recommendation letters. Regardless of whether or not you can get in without them, the letters will be a big help in getting scholarships and getting into the honors college. definately include as many as you can get. Universities love getting to know more about you and getting a better sense of what you can bring to their environment beyond just what’s on your transcript.

True…thnx laura

Truthfully, they aren’t that important to UCF. However, if you are planning to apply to the Honors College then they will be. But if that’s the case, keep in mind that applying to the Honors College is a separate process so unless you have duplicates of your recommendation letters, I would save them for when you apply to the Honors College. Universities typically do like receiving letters of recommendation like Laura said but based on what I’ve seen in the past few years, UCF is still trying to build up its applicant pool and the stats of the students it accepts so more often than not, test scores and GPA will be what matters most to them.

Hi, andreina42 I was accepted for Spring 2011 and I didn’t send counselor recommendation or teacher’s. My Stats are nothing amazing either, I just wrote a killer essay. Then again, the competition for Spring isn’t as bad as fall so at least send one, write a great essay and hope for the best. I wish you good luck!

can you guys help me out? i have letters of recommendations, my teachers gave them back to me. but my problem is i dont know how to send them–do i just send them to the offices of admissions?
