i might not.

I called them and asked an admissions counselor....they said they only use them in borderline situations. And they said if you have them you should send them in because they can only help you.

they are not required, but it certainly wouldn't hurt. if getting in to FSU is important to you, then I would do all I could to assure you gain admission. Rec letters are used in most cases when an applicant is on the bubble.

my teacher gave me my recommendation. she said i should mail it,but what do i put for the return address, i certainly cant put mines?also, how many recommendations would be good:2?

The recommendations should probably be in a sealed envelope from the writer - in other words, you should not see them. I would suggest calling admissions to see where to send them.

This is something of a first for FSU. Include such recommendations if you think you need the help.

Better to have them and not need them, than to need them and NOT have them! (I'm a parent. I have lots of these bits of wisdom - all free. :) )

TK

bring your rec into your guidance counselor and ask him/her to send it through your high school mail system.

^Great idea. Your teacher should know all about this.
