My school is pretty competitive and we have a graduating class of about 580. My current rank is 17/580, top 3%. I have a 3.98 GPA (one B) with APs (9 in total so far junior year) and all honors. The GPA and percentage are good but most people who apply to top schools are within the top ten of their class, but I can get there. There are A LOT of OVER OVER Achievers in my class and they self study countless APs and stuff! Will this hurt me??

How is one B a 3.98? Everybody says that one B is a 3.98 but I don’t get where that number comes from, I got one B and I apparently have a 3.86 or something

Different grading system? My cumulative GPA is 3.98. I got my B during freshman year, and i’ve been making all As since then

Those grades are good enough for anywhere. That is only one factor as I am sure you know. SATs and ECs (including leadership) are just about as important. Good luck!

OH HOLY CRAP I just realized that my 3.86 is just for the semester, everything makes sense now

Hahaha, nicee…
