How important is religion to you?

Come and talk here.

I’m personally incredibly atheistic, but not to the point where it leads to intolerance. Religion isn’t at all important to me.

Very.

(I’m forced to honor Tsen.)

Lol at mill.

Religion? Not too much.
I am very spiritual and keeping my soul clean is something I let basically run my life. I always try to keep my karma good (can’t really think of any other way to say that).

Very important. It gets me through tough times.

my entire family is devout Catholic and my best friends are hardcore Christians. but i am agnostic.
religion doesn’t really matter to me, but the only thing that actually annoys me about it is when people try to force their religious views onto me.

God is very important to me.

Very. Church every Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday. Fasts every other week. I’m a Christian.

not very. i’m not religious really. fasts every other week?! :O

this may be the first HSL inside joke i’ve gotten ever! i can’t believe it.

What Christian basis is there for fasting every other week? (I’m being serious, I’ve never heard of that).

I’m not forced to…? It’s just a time of prayer in the morning. The fasting isn’t the entire day either…It’s just til’ noon.

wow, still, that’s difficult in my book. i never fast unless i’m getting blood drawn or something.

bows

Hmm. Religion doesn’t play a very big role in my life. I don’t believe in God. However, I consider myself a spiritual person and like to contemplate about my soul/karma/theological matters.

Eh…It’s not very different for me…just because I rarely eat breakfast…so the only difference is praying more…

I don’t think there is one. Technically, Christians should fast at the very least every Friday, and really should fast both Wednesday and Friday. Friday is, of course, when Christ died, and Wednesday is when he was betrayed (according to the kindly Greek Orthodox woman who told me about all of this). There are a lot of other specific days when you fast. Then there’s Lent, and on Ash Wednesday (or Clean Monday, since Orthodox Lent starts earlier on account of feast days), you probably only eat one meal. Some people fast more during the first week of Lent, and a lot of people fast more during the last week. Some people fast more during every Wednesday and Friday of Lent.

Devout Christians, depending on the denomination, fast a lot more than people think they do.

Personally, being moral is more important than religion. But I do love my religion lots, although I’m not that observant (I’m Jewish).

But yeah… observant enough to be slightly uncomfortable in chapel every morning (i go to a christian school).

I would like to call myself agnostic. I really don’t care for religion at all.

The purpose of life is to serve God. I think it primarily involves reaching out to others with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

I’m Christian, but I’m fine with Athiests as long as they’re reasonable and do not impose their views on me. Likewise, I impose my views on no one.

^me too

I wish I was more religious…I’m just not sure how to do that yet…
