How many of you consider yourself to be religious? Do you go to the church, mosque or temple regularly?

i dig fostering the horizontal relationships first, before even thinking about any sort of vertical relationship, if there's one to be had in the 1st placce.

I'm totally atheist. My beliefs are similar to Richard Dawkins's - and I'm sure you can figure out what that means.

Not religious, but I don't mind anyone's beliefs as long as they don't try to convert me (religious and atheists alike).

Atheist - I also don't have a problem with anyone's beliefs on the matter as long as they aren't overzealous about it (I certainly don't mind friendly debate on the matter, but unwanted advances go too far)

I agree with the other atheists. I don't make a big deal of it; though i'm happy to discuss my beliefs.

I can't stand it when people believe they are more rightous (ie: arrogant) because they've "found Jesus."

You do your thing, i'll do mine.

Christian here. And saddened by the fact that many people seem to think that Christian=Pat Robertson. I'm pro-God, pro-choice, pro-gay rights and pro-acceptance of others.

I second ShadowOfAnEnigma. Roman Catholic here, but I don't let people tell me what "really" happened. The same holds true for the Bible.

Yep, lets trust a 2000yo book full of myths and legends with explinations for phenomina. I respect those who were born into it, but please take the time to critically evaluate your beliefs.

My parents are both Catholic, and I am required to attend mass every Sunday..but I don't consider myself to be religious. I don't pray or pay attention in church

Atheist, and yes I despise religion.

Heaven forbid a loved one is dying in a hospital. Don't tell me God (or another higher power) doesn't exist during that time.

Not to me smurfgirl. Don't assume that Atheists suddenly believe in god in times of sadness...Seriously what an ignorant thing to say.

Actually, that would be a bad time to confide in the lord. Those who recieved prayer or prayed themselves were something like 67% more likely to die from illnesses that could go either way (cite prestigious U acclaimed proffessor | I'm too lazy to find it [how biblical (!) of me]).

Confidence in a higher being has an incredible correlation with neglecting reason, something that is not advisable in the time of a medical crisis. I would have alot more confidence if a skilled, learned doctor is taking care of my loved one than if I wasted time getting on my knees and hoping the heavens will bless them rolleyes.

I like to describe myself as agnostic as of now.

fellow christians let me give u an interesting piece of info: south korea is second largest missionary-sending country. usa is first, but since usa has several times more people than south korea, u can probably say that in terms of rate, it is the first.

this is weird. rome must revive!!! PAPA ROMANA!! papa please...papa...wake up!!

There is some hope for this world after all.

I'm a Christian. Raised in the church, but not blindly believing. I go to church every Sunday, and at my school we have a Wednesday Night Worship I usually attend as well.

Wow, is it me or do most of the athiests in here seem cold...

It's what happens when you see everyone being idiotic around you for so long.
