I recently received my ACT scores:

Composite: 35
English: 35
Maths: 35
Reading: 32
Science: 36

This is obviously a good score. However, then I got my writing score which was an 8, making my combined English/Writing Score a 31. I checked the percentiles, and it says that a combined English/Writing Score of 31 is the 98th percentile, so still very good. What I am wondering about is just how important the individual writing score is, which in my case is just above average. I checked some websites which list the ACT scores for the Ivy League universities, and they only show the composite scores. Could a score of 8 negatively impact an application to an Ivy League university?
