How important is the edition of the book?

I'm ordering textbooks these days, and in an effort to save money, I've been buying the older editions rather than the most recent up-to-date one. I know that there will be some differences because of the change of editions, but will it be that big? Will I be able to get through class with an older edition textbook or is it essential that I get the latest one? Thanks.

You should probably email the prof. If he assigns book homework it would be a problem.

Did you check Amazon & half.com for the correct edition? Also, you can try renting via Chegg. All are great ways to save money.

Good luck!
