I'm an incoming undergrad freshman deciding between UC Davis and NYU. The prestige level of the two is very different of course, but I can attend UC Davis for 2-3 years for the cost of one year at NYU. Now how much of a difference does it make to law schools? I figure that my parents and I could save that extra money for law school, which I heard gives very little need based aid. They reason that NYU is a better investment, and that if need be I could be working at a better paying job to pay for law school/have a better chance of getting into NYU law (?) Any opinions appreciated.

little to nothing, get a high GPA and good LSAT, and you’ll get into a good school from either

NYU does very little inbreeding (which means attending NYU undergrad does not increase your chances of getting into the law school). Will you be accumulating a large amount of debt to attend NYU? If yes, then attend Davis and save your money for law school.
