How important is the priority deadline for Honors programs?

I want to apply for Liberal Arts Honors and Plan II.

I'm retaking the SAT and hoping to improve it (2100+ now but math is low).

Does applying by the priority deadline increase chances for admission? I'm wondering whether to submit early or wait until I have the best scores possible.

I don’t know about Liberal Arts Honors, but for Plan II they have rolling admissions. The earlier you submit, the less applicants you have to compete with. Usually in rolling admissions, those who submit earlier are accepted at a higher rate than those who submit at the last minute. But you’ve probably heard of “correlation not causation” and maybe this is a result of the strongest applicants all applying early. IDK.
If your CR and M combo is higher than 1400, I would go ahead a submit early. If not, i would wait a little longer (but no later than halfway through November) to submit.
