Hi. I plan to major in chemistry along with a minor in philosophy and take pre-med courses. I’m planning to give the SAT again in October. I was initially planning to give a SAT subject test but decided against it as I don’t think I’ll have the time to prepare for it. I scored 750 in math and 650 in English in the previous SAT. Also, even if my sat score improves, I am not planning to apply to ivies or any colleges in that league (which generally require SAT subject tests). Another reason I don’t want to give the subject test is that I keep changing my mind about my major (biology to chem to blah blah) all the time. I plan to apply to BU, NYU, UNC Chapel Hill, etc. that don’t really require SAT 2. So should I take a chance with it?
I wouldn’t. It doesn’t sound like you’re applying to anywhere that would require you to have those, and they’re quite costly.
