The High School Profile will be – or at least it is supposed to be – sent to the colleges you are applying to by your guidance counselor. If you have any doubt speak to your GC to make sure it is being sent. While you are at it, ask for a copy of your school’s profile to make sure it is accurate and thorough. It’s always disheartening to find another high school that either has no profile or a very poor one, but it happens. If you are wondering what sort of information should be on the profile check the College Board for some suggested guidelines and samples of good profiles.

Short answer – unless the colleges you are applying to know your high school VERY well the School Profile is a very important piece of the application puzzle.
