How Is AP Calculus

What's The Workload Like, What Your Expirence, What Was Your Grade?

Best math class ever.
Overall great experience.
Doable amount of homework.
Doable pace.
Had a 100 at the end of each semester.

I can not guarantee this will happen in your class, however.

I jumped up to AP Calculus BC from Precalculus.

AB or BC? The answers might change dramatically.

AP Calculus AB

Workload for me (AB) was a lot. Teacher prepared us a lot.
teacher gave us NO curve on any test/quiz throughout the year. I finished first semester with a 89% and the second with a 93%, so okay, I guess. Average class grade, excluding me, was around 75-80%. Only the BC kids and one other AB kid was around my grade, or higher.
agree with Niquii completely - extremely enjoyable class. The concepts are fun and once you can do the work without consulting a book, calculus becomes a joy to do.
The test was by far the most fun (if that’s possible) AP exam I have taken so far.

One of the most rewarding classes you will ever take. It will push you to your limits (calc reference), but you will get so much out of it. I got mid-to-high A’s in trig (aka precalc) and then high B’s-to-low A’s in BC Calc. Can’t speak to AB, but I’m glad I took BC. In AB you will move a bit slower and therefore cover less stuff but its still better than regular-level Calc. Don’t be dissuaded by having to take the AP test, it’s not that bad.

Workload: Always able to complete far ahead of schedule, rather light compared to other AP classes, and actually less than other math classes / less boring

Experience: Students that don’t get (simple?) concepts me divierten. Amazing lectures / get to participate a lot with good contributions while also watching people’s grades suffer.

90% tests, 10% hw
AB: Two A+s
BC: Two A+s
(Only A+s throughout the entire upperclassmen years :])
