I received my housing option today. I was placed in Hedrick hall? Is this hall considered a good one for first years? Is it better than the other halls? Does anyone have anything good or bad to say about Hedrick hall?

Thanks for your comments, :)

all i got from that was sex, hill walking, and good food.

hehe, any other comments?

...which why I left specific posts. :

Least social and quiet? Really? I've only heard the opposite about Hedrick.

i got Hedrick!... um... in a TRIPLE>... WOW. i'm not used to sharing a room... this could be CrAzY!

shoot.. jk.. i got rieber... i just wanted hedrick though...

Rieber looks really nice, if that's any comfort. ;)

I just got Hedrick Hall too, im really concerned about the "least social and quiet" thing. Is it really like that? Also, does it have any kind of gathering space like DeNeve?

It's probably not a big deal. I guess that means less people visit because it's more up on the hill. However, if you really need to see a friend I guess you'll be willing to walk up the hill to see him right?

d. yip makes a good point: living in Hedrick Hall will show you who your TRUE friends are.

I used to live in Hedrick... I made a lot of friends there. The one nice thing about Hedrick is that most people there are freshmen, so you meet people in the same and situation as you. It is a bit of a walk though, but at least the lobby is new and the construction has slowed down,

long walk is good..more exercise.
thats nice if hedrick hall is quiet...perfect for studying and come on, we have all of ucla to meet people.

I stayed in Hedrick Hall for a week last summer and the rooms smelled like cat pee.
