Looks pretty darn rigorous to me, if that’s what you’re going for. But I’m not a typical CC-er so what do I know. Just get good grades and few colleges will say no with a schedule of that caliber.

Going from zero AP courses to three is not something I’d normally advise, to be honest. They aren’t like honors courses, if that’s what you’re thinking. They are so much more in-depth and offer a very different experience than any other high school course.

I didn’t take any AP courses my freshman year (I registered too late; the one I could take was full), but took two this year (AP Bio and World History). I’ve always been an A+ student, but it honestly took me a bit to become adjusted to the rigor of AP classes. Now I’m reviewing for the AP exams, and I’m studying more than I ever have in my life.

Your amount of daily homework is going to most likely dramatically increase. It certainly depends on your teachers, but if your AP teachers are good teachers, you should be getting a hefty amount of homework most of the time.

Of your selection of AP courses, Psychology is the easiest, and Biology would be the most difficult. If you were to eliminate one of them, it should be biology (unless that’s a passion of yours, and you’re willing to study a lot). My recommendation would be to take AP Psychology and AP World History (APWH is an easy class but the exam is very thematic and consists of broad pieces of information, so could be difficult), since you’re getting a nice foundation of history in your current honors class.

Your math analysis class won’t be your hardest. I’m in the same thing, but it’s called Analysis of Functions. All I’ve done to maintain an A is pay attention in class, take notes, and do every single homework assignment. I’ve made B’s and C’s on a couple of tests, but my quarter-average has always been an A.

A lot of sophomores in my class went from taking no APs in their freshmen year to taking 3 to 4 and they are struggling A LOT, especially now since the AP exams are coming up. I took 1 AP class (APUSH) freshman year and took 2 this year (Bio and AP US Government) and it’s not easy. But I feel like I’m more prepared than someone of my classmates because having prior experience in an AP gives you a more realistic of your abilities, how to prepare, budget time, etc.

My main concern would be AP Euro and AP Bio because they are memorization intensive. Try to get rid of one of them, maybe?

my schoold does not let u take ap’s as a freshman unless your parents come in and complain which mine would not do. Im ready to study a lot, which is what im hoping for. Theres always a lot of people much ahead of me and im just trying to stay in the game :]

I really envy you guys.
My school offers 5 AP classes for juniors&seniors only. I’m a sophomore with an average 98, but the only AP class I got is AP Chinese because I’m originally from China and my Chinese is very good.
I have been learning java (AP computer science) individually with some help from my math teacher since this semester. And I’m thinking about taking the exam next year.
Good for you that you can take any AP in high school. My school really sucks, and I don’t know how it could be in top 100 of American’s Best High. I’m struggling a lot right now :(
