Very well. :)

I’m not entirely sure of what you’re asking…but if it’s “how well do Rice students place into med school?” or “how well does Rice prepare me for med school?” the answers would probably be very well, but I’m not sure how that affects your interview.

bascially, I was wondering what to answer if he askes, ‘how will choosing xyz college prepare you for your future’

For one, to answer your question, Rice is unarguably one of the best pre-med schools in the country, with something like a 90% acceptance rate into med schools. If you need proof, just look to our campus’s neighbor, Texas Medical Center, the largest medical center in the world and a frequent hirer of Rice undergrads for intern/whatever positions.
BUT, that doesn’t really matter. When you go to your interview, they will (I’m almost certain) not ask you those kinds of questions, especially not about your choosing Rice. They will most likely just have a friendly chat with you, to try to gauge what kind of a person you are and where your interests lie. The worst they would pull on you is probably “what about Rice interests you?” to which there are countless responses. Overall, the interview has little weight in admissions, so don’t sweat it. Good luck!

if you go to rice and graduate pre-med, there is 0% that you’re not going to get into a med school..actually that’s a lie, I only know of one person who didn’t get into a med school last year out of ALL the pre-meds (i know a lot of pre-meds too)

plus you’ve got rice/baylor
you obviously haven’t done your research

Average MCAT: 32, I dunno how that compares to other colleges though. But national average is 26 I think? You need at least a 34-35 to be competitive for the top medical schools anyways.
