Transfer Question/Clarification

So I recently heard back from Binghamton (Fall Waitlist/Spring Offer). I got accepted into Stony Brook.

Is it possible to spend the fall semester at Stony Brook and then initiate a transfer to Binghamton in the spring?

Also, do you pay per semester or do you pay one time for the entire year?

When I went on a tour, the SB guide said that a student at Stony Brook needs at least 24 credits before being able to transfer out of SB. Is that true?

They probably meant that a student needs 24 credits to transfer into Stony Brook from another school. There is no minimum number of credits needed to transfer out. So yes, you can go to Stony Brook for one semester and transfer out if you still wish to :slight_smile:
