How is the party scene at University of Minnesota?

Will a fake be helpful(for getting in places), or are there mainly house/frat parties?

This comes from someone who drinks 2 times or so a week (Friday/Saturday).

Anyone, also how does housing work once you are guaranteed housing? When will I be truly assigned or am I already? I got the guarantee today.

Sorry, I don’t know anything about te party scene, but I have a question for you.

When did you apply for housing? I still haven’t gotten my guarantee. Is it a physical letter they mail to you? I’ve filled everything out, turned in the contracts, and paid the $25 fee. I applied about 2 weeks ago.

i dunno for sure, but i’d guess that since it’s a big state school, there will be plenty of frat/house parties. and also the twin cities are pretty lively so if clubs are your thing, then sure maybe you’ll need a fake. this is just conjecture though, haha i’ve never been there. but it makes sense.

Well, I applied November 14th for housing but I got put on a different than normal list for housing since I am the age of a freshman even though I have junior status. But you probably should hear in a week or so, at least thats what the housing office told me the other day. Its an email and a hard letter.

If you apply for housing before May, you get an automatic guarantee, whether or not they send you a letter. I’d call housing just to make sure they got your application though
