How is the physics department?

I asked another question on how accessible the research is, so if you can, please include it in the answer. But the main question is, what is the quality of the physics department. How hard is the grading. And where do grads end up?

The physic department is pretty good. Teaching isn’t bad, physics is generally hard but the best grads end up in top departments. Research is difficult but not impossible to get, coming in with something like a presidential really helps with getting into aresty. If you don’t get in like that, being active and aggressive with your course work, doing well and asking your professors for spots in labs works well. It depends on you though, you need to be proactive
