How is this SAT score perceived by colleges?

1170 (CR+M)
600 CR
570 M
I’m just wondering if this is considered decent and what colleges I could potentially get into with this score.

Home state? How much can you afford? What area of the country? Intended major? GPA and EC’s?

NY, pretty much everything(inheritance), northeast, biochemistry or just chemistry, GPA UW: 93 (3.8) W: 99 (4.something) class rank: 9/123, ECs: NHS, math club, SADD club, Varsity baseball, varsity track, tutoring, 90 hours of community service
I’m sure my SATs will improve, but I want an estimate with these specific scores.
I would prefer to stay within the Northeast or East coast preferably NYC.

or was that just a lesson telling me to be more specific in these threads?

Well, the score will be perceived differently by different schools. Where are you applying? An Ivy wouldn’t even give you a second look (most likely), and it would probably eliminate you from the top 20-30, but under that, maybe not.

GPA is good, but those SAT scores don’t match up to your GPA. Want to be considered to the BETTER schools in New York, then you need to get those SAT sections up to high 600s minimum and preferably 700. Are you planing to play baseball or run track in college? Are you a junior or a senior? If you plan to do a sport, you need to contact coaches now. And the Ivies are a reach for everyone.

You might get into SUNY Geneseo with that SAT. You’re right at the 50th percentile for CR but just below in Math. You won’t get into Cornell with that SAT score.

Was there a more specific list your were interested in? Saying “northeast” is a bit vague.
