^Coolbreeze,

If my memory is correct, weren’t you planning to go into Bio or something related to med? (I might be mixing you up with someone else tho)

UMich poly sci is among the best from what I’ve heard. Frequently in the Top 5 in the US Certainly comparable to HYP, especially for the money since you’re IOS. Of course, you shouldn’t simply just rely on rankings, but they do give you a picture of how well recognized a department is.

What you should also do is explore the Poly Sci website: [Department of Political Science, University of Michigan](<a href=“Political Science | U-M LSA”>http://polisci.lsa.umich.edu/). Scour the website for info on the undergrad curriculum … e-mail someone if you have a question. Find out about internship opps that current students get and other opps. You know, stuff to get you started.

Thanks ( already viewed universities political science department websites),

I once had intentions on majoring in a science ( biology, pre-med etc…) though things changed.

Majors like polsci, economics, english are generally good at reputable colleges.

I’m a polisci major and i really like it. It’s a lot of fun and the classes are not too hard. Really UM is not as bad as everyone makes it out to be as long as you manage time and keep up with your work. If your registering for classes take Stam’s Into to World Politics - awesome class and interesting stuff (lots of readings but it’s still worth it)

Michigan’s Political Science department is excellent, arguably the best in the nation, certainly among the top 5 departments nationally.

Thanks for replies
