^There are a lot of people that fail, and lots that get in the 60's, 70's, and low 80's.
A "good" score is considered above an 85.
All of these scores really are the result of honors kids/ the "pick of the crop."

There's a saying among honors kids at the two NY Schools I went to - "The only thing worse than a 64 is a 99." <That really explains everything (65 is the lowest passing score, and there's a major push to get a 100).

they aren't inflated, it's a grading system that varies a bit by year.

a few years ago, the physics curve made 70 passing or something, meaning raw score wise you had to score much higher than this year and recent years.

on the math b regents, getting a 79/88 was 90 i think

they aren't inflated haha but there is a curve--they have to make it fair so that kids who go to not-so-good school in the inner city and such can actually have a fair chance of passing, but then there are kids in like westchester or whatever who are taking AP classes instead of regents level and getting 100s on these tests, which are super easy for them.

anyway my scores are

8th:
Earth Science: 92
9th:
Global History: 97
Biology: 93
Math A: 98
10th:
U.S. History: 98
English:100
Chemistry: 77
Math B: 96
French: 100

^^lol do you see anything wrong with that picture!?
I have noooo idea what went so wrong on Chem--other than I am, needless to say, not a science person

11th:
Physics: OH GOD I AM ACTUALLY SCARED TO GET MY GRADE ON THIS TEST, haha. hopefully I just don't fail.

the admissions person at NYU specifically said at an info meeting, unasked, that regents scores were very important-especially Math B. Bad scores were a big red flag that could take a person from accepted to rejected. Anecdotal evidence from my school shows this too-only people who consistently scored 95-100 on the exams were admitted, even if their SATs were 50-100 lower than the rejected.

also, at SUNY schools, you can pass out of a lot of requirements, and apply for certain scholarships in NY.

^They only matter in NY. Other schools really don't care. (Unless you fail, but it's not likely that you did well in the class if you fail anyway).

[A] the cloud. Right? Because the cloud moves right? And sometimes the cloud gets angry and gets all dark. Sometimes the cloud gets sad and starts crying all over the place.
