How late to submit recommendation letters, still okay for priority processing?

Hello,

Texas high schools do not open until late August. So, even if someone submit Fall 2018 application for priority processing now, recommendation letters may not be available until early Sept. I wonder if admission officials will not get a chance to see recommendation letters, considering the file might get reviewed with all “required” documents early. Recommendation letters are optional.

How do you approach to make sure your file is looked into after all docs are received?

The only priority deadline I am aware of is for Honors programs and that is October 15. Are you aware of another one?

Realize that the same cycle happens every single year… TX schools always open in late August, the deadlines are always about the same from year to year.

Submit your complete application when school opens— I’m hoping you’ve already asked your teachers for those recommendation letters? You college placement office is aware that some apps need to be processed more quickly than others. Assuming that you’ve done everything on your end, they’ll handle theirs.
