Just a quick, straightforward question: My letters of recommendation were sent out sometime around November 4th and still haven't showed up on my profile. Anything to be concerned about?

They don’t show up on Bealonghorn. I wouldn’t sweat it.

Actually, letters of recommendation do show on your BeaLonghorn account once they have been received and processed. With the December 1 deadline coming up soon, Admissions is no doubt deluged with documentation. If letters were mailed instead of faxed, the process takes a little longer due to the volume of mail they receive.

No, they really don’t. Haha. I talked with an admissions counselor on Friday, who said that those items would not appear.

The actual letters don’t, but confirmation that UT received them and the date UT recieved them does show up.

I thought that UT does not require letters of recommendation.

If an applicant sent any letters of recommendation, the date of receipt is found in the ‘Dashboard’ section of your BeaLonghorn account.

And Muzzle, IF you took the time to actually have letters of recommendation sent for your application, and IF you made sure they were sent in say October instead of waiting to the last few weeks before the deadline, you would know this information. So, the joke’s on you.

UT doesn’t placido. It could help, which is why we submit anyways, but not required (unless of course it says otherwise - like with honors app)

Even Honors says recs are optional.

In the Business Honors Program, BHP, an online recommendation letter is required.

I really hope that you are in high school and not an adult, because if so, your catty attitude and immaturity must be horribly embarrassing for you. Is the joke on me? I was given wrong information. Oops.

Furthermore, you are making a lot of accusations about me, my work ethic, and my application that you can’t back up.

Please re-read the above post for comprehension. No accusations were made; rather simple deduction demonstrates that you would have known the correct answer to whether letters of recommendation are noted on ‘Dashboard’ when received IF: 1) you actually had letters sent; 2) you had made sure they were sent in a timely fashion. Instead you posted incorrect information to the OP. Once corrected, you posted the “catty” response below:

Grow up, muzzle.

Of course UT accepts letters of recommendations… and they show up on the My Documents tab.
