Is there any biker out there that knows If my bike is going to get stolen if i left it locked up at UCLA during winter break ? Im starting to worry about it...

UCLA is mostly asians + whites so not likely.

im more scared of people from outside UCLA coming into campus to steal my bike during the break.

Unless its some super expensive bike, I don’t think there would be a problem.

put it in your room over break - problem solved…

Uh, my friend got his bike stolen in less than a week. 6 days to be exact. Double-locked, but nevertheless… jacked.

R.I.P. spankin new fixie.

Umm…which part of leaving an expensive piece of property lying around for over three weeks without anyone checking on it did you think was a good idea?

^ I’ll have to agree…

Do you live close to campus? If you are less than 2 hours by car then I think it would be worth it to pick it up and keep it at home for the next couple weeks til you come back. If not, just forget about it since theres virtually nothing you can do and you’ll just stress yourself silly, hope for the best.

My friend left his bike locked up over break. Only his broken lock remained when he got back.

there’s still plenty of blacks and hispanics roaming around.

My friend has had two bikes stolen. The first was last year over winter break and the second was just on campus over night, so watch out.

I just came back up yesterday to pick it up because my mom was freaking out about it. and it was still there. phew =]

UCLA has a real problem with bike theft. I think it’s like top of the nation. I don’t want to scare you but, good luck!

GrassBandit, if you actually look at all of the culprits of bike theft, the majority of bike thefts on campus aren’t done by minorities…
