there are bike racks, and some people store their bikes in their room (my roommate stores his in our room, it takes a lot of space especially in a hall but he have a $2000 dollar or something racing bike so can’t risk leaving it outside)

Lock it up on a bike rack. If you’re paranoid, use multiple U-Locks/Chains & Locks.

racks for overnight and on campus. in your room over breaks.

thanks a lot !

My bike was gone in less than an hour after locking it on a rack. It was around midnight. So avoid that. just take it to your room. UCLA is full of thieves.

lol am i gonna be able to put it in my room if its a triple ?
and wow that just scared me gone after an hour locking it on a rack…

anubis was it a really good bike or those general cheap mountain bikes?

Anubis66,

What kind of lock were you using? Just curious? Chain and lock, or a U-lock? Sucks that they stole it.

and calbear, it’ll be probably easier if you just walk instead of biking, not a lot of people bike on campus because of the dip (dorms and classes are on 2 different hills pretty much)

don’t a lot of people take off one of their bike wheels in addition to locking their bike? That way a theif can’t ride off with your bike and when they push a bike around with one wheel, people will know it’s not his or hers. Plus, a bikewheel takes up less space in a dorm.
