<p>Happy New Year to all you Pittsburgh folks - DS FINALLY finished and sent all his apps this weekend including Pitt. How long do you think it will take to get a response???</p>
<p>I'd guess about 8 weeks, at this point. My daughter turned in her appplication materials by late September, and had an acceptance letter by mid-October. I would think that applications would take longer now, as the bulk of students are applying now.</p>
<p>A friend of mine called just to get a rough estimate (she's a basketball player being recruited/getting ACL surgery/situation complicated..not just a complaining student calling, lol)...The official word they gave her was that if you applied at this point (Decemberish), it could be anywhere from 3-10 weeks, depending on applicant pool.</p>

<p>I submitted my application on january 4th and sent my transcript out a few days later. I recieved my acceptance letter today. I have a 3.6 gpa and a 1140 sat score although I am not sure if they even received my sat score yet.</p>
<p>i applied like right before christmas break...got a letter of deferral to their johnstown campus about 1st week of january...</p>

got accepted to u pitt at oakland</p>
