How Long Can My Essay Be?

<p>Hey,</p>

<p>quick question: Are 1000 words for a (as stated on the Common App) 500 word essay too much ? </p>

<p>I know that adcoms won't count out my words, but my 1000 word essay looks longer than any 500 word essay. </p>

<p>So should I cut down the word-count drastically ? </p>

<p>I'd say cut it down drastically. Besides cutting out superfluous words and rewording, try to focus it down, like a damn laser.</p>

<p>Most ppl know 500 words isn't enough to say all you want to say.</p>
