After your MyPitt account said your application was complete how long did it take for you to receive a decision?

i submitted mine on October 25th and received my acceptance letter November 13; my Honors College letter came November 27. From what I’ve been reading most people have about a 2-4 week wait once theyve submitted their app.

I think it can vary, I got mine a week after my app was complete (Oct. 9th it was complete and I got the acceptance letter on the 17th), but my friend’s was completed at the same time and he hasnt heard back yet, so I think it all depends on how strong a candidate you are

I got mine back in the first week of November, less than a week after sending everything. I live in North Carolina so I was very impressed by the speed with which I received my decision. Honors college information came about two weeks later. Still no word on scholarships…

S submitted on Halloween but Pitt said they never got his transcript. Transcript was received finally (we sent a second) according to the portal on Friday Dec 4. He received his acceptance in the mail today Dec 14. We live in DC. Once that page says everything has been accepted then you are very close to hearing!!!

Anyone submitted around December 17th and still hasn’t heard back? (or already heard back?)

If you submitted around Dec. 17th you probably won’t hear back until the end of January or first or second week of February in that their admissions office closed for a week in Dec. Expect a decision in 4-6 weeks, call if it has been 6 and you’ve heard nothing.

^Okay, thanks:) That’s what I thought. I’m just really impatient because I saw someone above heard back in a week (only a WEEK?!).

The appcom meets in cycles, and for some amazing applicants who just happen to submit their app at the exact right time a one week decision is possible. It took them 4 weeks for me and I got a full tuition scholarship, so wait time isn’t necessarily correlated with the probability of your admission.

That’s contrary to what everyone else in this forum seems to think, but good news nevertheless. Thanks:)

@smart.cookie: I got my acceptance letter today (1/2). It came faster than you had predicted, so I’m quite happy.

@xrCalico23: When did you apply? My application was submitted on 12/17, and it says completed, but I’m not sure for how long.

@xrCalico23: Congratulations! I’m glad that everything worked out for you!

Brettzerker, I submitted mine the second week of December, I think, and it was marked “complete” on the 17th.

@smart.cookie: Thanks;)

I received my acceptance yesterday. Does anyone know how long it takes to hear about Scholarships? Or do they need my FAFSA first?

Scholarships are separate from FAFSA and you will likely be notified within up to 4 weeks of your acceptance.

Did anyone get a decision lately?
If so, when did you apply?

^That thread will have people who recently received decisions, and you could message them and ask when they applied.
