<p>How long does it take for ACT scores to be delivered to the colleges, when it is sent electronically and not by mail?</p>
<p>I sent SAT scores last week with standard delivery option and it seems like they have already been delivered just in four days. However, I couldn't find out if my ACT scores were delivered yet. Anybody knows how long it usually takes when sent electronically?</p>

<p>Sent our standard delivery (the day after the first group of results showed up online) One of the colleges is showing them as received so I have to believe the others have the results and just haven’t put them online.</p>
<p>I have the same question. I sent my scores to a college 2000 miles away on 9/29/10. Does anyone have an idea when the university might receive them?</p>
<p>From speaking with a representative at ACT (319/337-1313) on 12/15/2010 at about 2pm, we found out the following:</p>
<p>There are two ways to send out scores, Regular and Priority (a $5 difference but a world of possibilities….).</p>
<p>Regular method (three methods provided, based on what the school requires)</p>
<ol>
<li>Paper Mail – Sent out within a week of receiving your request. The time it takes to arrive at the school is based on the USPS. ACT is located in Iowa City, Iowa so you might have to spend some time figuring out the travel time to your school.</li>
<li>Electronic – Your request is sent out either Monday, Wednesday, or Friday, depending on when you put in the request. Once it goes out, it’s up to the world-wide-web to get it to your school. She mentioned that should take a couple of days.</li>
<li>Diskettes – Yes, some schools actually just want diskettes of your test scores. These are only sent out twice a month and once again in the hands of the USPS to decide how long it’ll take to arrive at your school.</li>
</ol>
<p>Priority Mail (2 methods provided, again based on how your school wants to receive it)</p>
<ol>
<li>Paper – Rather than within a week, they’ll mail it out 3 to 5 days upon receiving your request. Then it’s in the hands of the USPS</li>
<li>Diskette – Also within 3 to 5 days of receiving your request and into the mighty hands of the USPS.</li>
</ol>
<p>If you didn’t notice, Priority only has two methods because it would take the same amount of time to send them out electronically for both the Regular and Priority requests.</p>
<p>Wondering how your schools want those scores? From speaking with her, she said that when you choose your colleges and put in their college codes, a little symbol should appear indicating what type of communication they’d take (mail, electronic, or diskette).</p>
<p>All in all, what’s the longest it would take for the school’s to receive your scores? If you’re unfortunately stuck with a school that’ll only take the diskette, you’ve missed the most recent diskette send out date by a hair, and your school is literally on the other side of the world…it’ll take at least 2 weeks.</p>
<p>Hopefully, the shortest amount of time would be thus (and I asked her about Northeastern as an example): If you put in the request for Northeastern (which takes it electronically) on a Monday morning, they send out it Monday evening, there is no traffic on the internet highway, the admissions officer there opens their email Tuesday morning, then…less than 2 days.</p>
