My D used the on line form from the National Merit office to request a visit to OU this Feb. She submitted the form over Christmas break and hasn’t had a reply yet. How long does it usually take to get a response? I know they were closed for Christmas but I thought we would have heard something by now.
My son submitted the form a couple days before Christmas and he just heard from them 2 days ago.

I have friends that work in the office. If you still have not received a response in a week, PM me and I’ll ask them to look into it.

You could email one of the National Merit staff (or another admin person) and ask.
We never used the on-line forms but found the NMS office very responsive to phone calls and emails.
We used the online form over the holidays and heard back late last week.
So I broke down and called the NM office at OU today. They did say they had received d’s request and that they were working on it. They did suggest that we might come another time because of the senior event that weekend but said that if we really wanted to come then, they would arrange a tour. They were really nice about it all even though it’s a crazy busy time for them.
The only disappointing thing was that she said we could see a dorm in the towers but not in the honors dorm because they are all full. I really want d to compare the two. Anyone know a student willing to show us their room in the honors dorm on 2/14 or 2/15? We would happily treat them to a meal of their choice for the their trouble and we’d love to talk a current student.
