I sent mine almost 2 weeks ago and on my status page it says its still waiting for it to arive.

Did you mail it, or did your school send it? There was a problem with my son's school's transmission. I got a sealed official copy, and mailed it myself.

You could mail it again, and get delivery confirmation or send it certified....

I went to my college councilor like the day after i submitted it, i gave him the envelope to mail it, he almost always drops everyday's load of transcripts in the mail same day. ill go see him tomorrow

My daughter's were mailed by her counselor on Oct 31 and the status page is still waiting for them. It's only been a week.
I would check back daily, they should get them soon.
Good luck! UCF is my daughter's first choice.

It depends on how far it is, but if you're thinking about priority, they look at the postmark date, not the date they receive it. Usually the postmark would be the same day if you get it there early enough or the next day. I sent mine the 28th at 7pm and it arrived on the 30th (about 100 miles.) They don't tell you right away if they received them, my online section wasn't updated till about November 7th I think. Don't worry, if you sent it, it probably got there.

gpowsang:
Did your status change yet? Did they receive your transcripts yet?
My daughter's still says waiting for transcripts. It will be 3 weeks on Friday that they were mailed.

Ive been checking daily and they is still processing it

my friend got admitted in about 3 weeks after sending his transcript, but he sent it about 3 weeks before i did and i hear now its a mich busier time

not giving up though

They finally got it yesterday!!!

Great!! My daughter's counselor called yesterday to see if they had it. They did, they had not entered it into the computer yet!! So, her status is now changed as well and at least we know that they were not lost in the mail...Hopefully we should have a desicion in a few weeks...Good luck to you.

Yeah!!!!!!!

We were on a cruise all last week and could not check her status. Got to the airport and found a Starbucks....she has been deferred:( They want her next quarter grades.

Congratulations!!

lillybelle, send any other updates too! D was deferred and sent update SAT scores and was accepted 2 weeks later. Good luck!

JerseyShoreMom,
She is registered for the ACT in February, but by the time she gets her scores and resubmits them, the wait will kill her!! She has been accepted to FGCU and Johnson & Wales here in RI, they've offered her a scholarship..but no go. She wants Rosen for Event Management. They specifically said 1st semester grades online, but then the form letter came that asked for any other info such letters of recommendation, which were already sent.
Very frustrating.......:( Especially how there seems to be kids applying now and getting an answer in just 2 weeks....

The deadline for the SAT is this Friday the 26th. The SAT testing is in January. My D was deferred but she applied in early October. SHe just received acceptance last week for Summer. She jumped on it! She too is majoring in Event Management but going to stay the main campus and take core subjects in Freshman year.

Congratulations to her!!;)
That's exactly what my daughter wants to do also. Stay on the main campus for at least the first year or two. She is looking into staying in Flagler Hall, in the Libra Community for out of state students. She loved the Rosen apartments and campus but felt that not having a car and not knowing anybody in FL would be very isolating. She is pretty sheltered!! Does not even drive yet!! Plus she is looking to minor in dance and it would be very difficult to travel back and forth between campuses for dance class and rehersals with the shuttle bus.
I am hoping she is offered summer as well. Although it will interfere with graduation. She graduates June 19...very late. I think that is the last week of orientation, which means in order to avoid flying down again, she would miss her graduation ceremony. Probably not an option for her...so of course, we would need to fly down again. But this is all getting ahead of ourselves if she's not admitted :(

I'm trying to find out when orientation is too as D won't be graduating until at least June 20th. Good luck lillybelle's D, I called admissions yesterday on an unrelated question and asked if they were closing for the holidays. The person said that they will be closed from December 24-26 and December 31-January 2 so they will continue to review applications on December 29 and 30th.

Okay, found some of my paperwork from last year. Last year, SUMMER orientation (they had different dates for Fall admissions) were:
May 19-20, 22-23, 28-29, June 9-10, 11-12, 16-17(we did this one!) and 19-20. Classes started on Monday the 23rd. This year, summer B classes are starting on Monday June 29 (and go until Thursday August 6th...there are no Friday classes during summer B). Because of this change (classes starting a week later to coincide with UF/FSU summer sessions), Orientation dates will be a week later too. You should have no problem doing either of the last two orientation dates and of course, you get the bonus of being able to move your kids into their dorms early (the rest of the Freshman will move in on Saturday and Sunday, the 27th and 28th of June).
