How long is the waitlist?

When will we know how long the waitlist for dartmouth is? I was pretty disappointed when I didnt get accepted, but I guess since the RD admit rate was less than 10% I was still among the more competitive appliants to just get on the WL....maybe theres some hope? (Ive heard its easier to get in off of dartmouths WL than harvard's or yale's at least)

Well first let's say that of the 797 applicants accepting spots on the waitlist last year for Dartmouth, none were accepted. Secondly, I read in the Boston Globe that Dartmouth planned to waitlist about 1500 applicants this year.

oh, well that sounds dismal, im going to count on going to either georgetown or middlebury in that case....good thing i love both schools

Well, that was blunt. There's still a chance though, maybe their yield will be ridiculously low with everyone going to H/Y for financial aid. I know I'm staying on until the bitter end!

I would drop all my current plans and pay full tuition if i got off. pplleease if you are happy with your school choices, don't stay on the waitlist "for fun"!

Wait, from what I've seen.... Dartmouth's financial aid package is better than both H and Y. Well, maybe that's just for people <75K . Idk. But that is what I have gathered from the promo stuff sent by the schools. Am I wrong?

i don't know about all income brackets, but Harvard has been making the news recently for how generous their packages are

and kkp-I totally second that thought, i've considered a year abroad to get another shot at dartmouth if i dont get in... i'm desperate
