Hi guys I just got waitlisted at Dartmouth and I was hoping you could tell me what to do. I just woke up in the middle of one night and wrote a 5 page essay on going to Dartmouth. I really want to get in and was almost hopeless after I got my waitlist decision. So what can I do to get in? Please dont advice me to wait. Is there any regional advisor I could contact. Any alumni that might make a difference?

I also joined 2 different clubs in my school and made it to the states of my forensics competition and also made it to Chicago on the fed challenge team. Should I email my essays and new activities to all three of the following people? 1) the dean of admissions 2) the president (if I can find the address for him) 3) someone else probably someone second to the dean or head of student affairs

Harvardfullride - You are a little confusing (benefit of the doubt here). According to one post you have a likely letter to Dartmouth, but you regret even applying. According to another you have more concerns about Dartmouth but its all good because you intend to take up your admission to Harvard anyway.

Any past candidates have any luck (current students)?

Here’s some advice: Stop ■■■■■■■■ these boards and putting down D in the hopes that you’ll get off the WL. In the past, Swarthmore adcoms have removed applicants from their waitlists because of things they’ve posted on online forums. Just FYI. ;)

This is for collegesgirl because harvardfullride is degrading and then pleading to get into the school that I love.

When I went to Dartmouth for Dimensions I talked to a girl who was on the waitlist and then got off and is now a current student. Dartmouth usually takes around 20 students but of course it varies from year to year… So its definitely a possibility, especially at Dartmouth.

If it’s any help, I know three kids, personally, who were admitted to Dartmouth and who are not going. I am sure that there are more, nationally, so I am sure that the waiting list will be used.

Good luck.

At least his posts are coherent unlike yours. You have various posts, none of which coincide.

Some state you have gotten into Harvard, Brown PLME and Dartmouth, and this one says you are on the waitlist and yet another says you got a likely letter.

So obviously you’re a horrible liar.
