How Long Should I study per day to raise my score from a 1200 to a 1350 in one month

I have studying 2-3 hrs a day to try to raise my score but my brothers told me I need to study 7hrs a day to raise my score. What are your guys thoughts? I have been doing 80 khan academy question working through Kaplan and watching sat videos on YouTube in my study sessions.

Seven hours is a bit too much. You won’t retain information.

What I would recommend is before doing khan academy practice questions, fill your content gaps by reading grammar rules, math equations, etc. Then when you are at 1350+, that’s when practice tips and strategy really counts. Good luck! Aim for the 1600

The key is practice exams. I would aim for one full length a day in the last 2-3 weeks of your studying. At that point, you won’t gain much by doing content review.

Make sure to save one CollegeBoard-made practice test for right before your test date. The new SAT only has a few released, and only those will give you a truly accurate sense of your score on the real thing.

I would recommend 1-2 hours of general review per day and 3 practice tests every weekend on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Make sure to use quality practice tests. Kaplan is generally known for being on the slightly easier side in terms of difficulty compared to the actual test, while Barron’s is a bit harder. Princeton Review books are typically around the same level. After taking the tests, spend a 2-3 hour going through the tests to make sure you understand why you got each question wrong (this part is crucial).
