I applied to the University of Pittsburgh 6 weeks ago and my application has been registered as complete for 5 weeks now (I applied Oct 23). I’ve heard that it usually takes 2-4 weeks, is it normal that it is taking longer to get a decision?
Did you submit the official transcript? I sent in the unofficial transcript and now it is still said not to receive it.
@sweaterweatherr it takes 4-6 weeks to hear back from us so you should be hearing back soon!
@sun2001 we encourage students to submit the SRAR for quicker processing times, I encourage you to call your processor to check on your status: https://oafa.pitt.edu/processors
Good luck

@hailtopitt1787 My daughter indicated her interest in GAP dental through common app. She received admittance letter to PItt around 11/24 and a merit scholarship this week, OOS 15k/yr. She did all the short essays, ACT 35, Wgpa 4.75, dental related activities and research, extracurricular etc. We haven’t heard back for an invite to apply to GAP dental. Do you know if invitation is based on basic academic qualifications ? If they do, we thought she would’ve qualified. Not sure if we should give admissions a call at this point to make sure it hasn’t fallen through the cracks or something?
@dragonfish sorry for the delayed response but based on their requirements the only thing you didn’t list is if your daughter ranks in the top 10 percent of her high school class? Aside from that, it is a pretty selective program so I encourage your daughter to contact her territory manager to know her status: https://oafa.pitt.edu/esm_directory.php
Thanks for your answer @hailtopitt1787
Her school doesn’t rank, but she should rank around the top 3-5%. I just saw your answer, but I’ll have her contact her territory manager. I hope it’s not too late to do this.
