How Long to Study for ACT

I was planning on taking the new SAT and forgetting about the ACT. I live on the East Coast and the ACT is almost unheard of at my school. However, I heard the new SAT is similar to the ACT. Another reason I wanted to take the ACT is because I won’t have to take subject tests. I had studied a little bit for the new SAT already, but not much. I have heard the ACT is also better for logical thinks, math/science people, etc. If I plan on taking the Feb ACT, do I have enough time to prepare for it? I have the official ACT book and I don’t really want to spend more money prepping for it. Will the official book and 2 months be sufficient?

Two months should be sufficient. The ACT does not replace the subject tests at all schools though. Double check each school’s standardized test requirements.

2 weeks would be sufficient. Just use Barron’s ACT 36 and ■■■■■■■■.com

@bouders I’ll definetly make sure to check with each school first.

How good is the Red book? That’s all I have and I don’t want to spend anymore money. I’ll check out crackact.

The red book is excellent. D16 used it, but could have used more tests. She improved with each test. She also used Barron’s and one or two others.

Listen to me. ALL OF THE RED BOOK IS ON CRACKACT. just use it, more realistic.
