How long was your essay?

Hey guys, for those that were accepted ED, or for anyone else applying for that matter, how long was your essay? Because the word count was 617 for mine...way over, I know. AND I still feel like I need to add another paragraph.

Any help is appreciated :) Thanks!

NYU has a supplementary essay?
i thought all it had were a 500 character what you did in summer response and 4 more 500 character personal statements

there's a part at the end of the application where they give you a few topics to choose from and you write an essay.

is this on common app? because the last things on common app are the four personal statements

It may not be much because I applied RD but my essay was close to 700. They won't care if the essay is well written, but as for this last paragraph just mull it over and think it really adds something unique to the rest of the essay, otherwise just forgo it.

I got in stern ED[ I will NEVER get tired of saying that! It still seems unreal] and my essay was 560. I asked on the nyu forum on their website, and the person said that they didnt want it to be more than 65 words over te 500 word limit. He didnt say what would happen if you went over 565, but he was very specific with the word count, but as youn see from nastynate, it possible to go over significantly, although you cant really tell until results come back, lol.

mine was 600+ (i dont remember how +) and i got in.
it was less than 2 pages though, and i cut it down as much as i could.

mine was 560 something.

Am I the only one who's very confused (and slightly freaked out) here?
I'm applying RD through the CommonApp site... haven't submitted anything YET (just doing some last minute checking). All I've written though was the 4-5 500 character supplement 'answers' and my CommonApp essay.
What's this other essay you're all talking about?

I'm in the same boat, B852. What other essay are you guys talking about?

I did the common app, and mine was a full page single spaced. A little over 600
