So I just sent my offical transcripts on friday to UCF via overnight mail. I was wondering when they get the transcripts does it take for a decision to come out? Do they wait till the transfer deadline is passed? Is there a process before they update the website.

They say it takes about 2-4 weeks before you get a decision if you’ve submitted everything they’ve asked you for but I got mine within a week after sending my final transcripts. No waiting after the deadline or anything. The deadline is just there for us when it comes to applying for a particular term.

how long do they take to update myucf.edu because it says they need confirmation of my aa, but i overnighted it on friday. so i dont know when they update the website

Whenever they make their decision it will post immediately on myUCF. So, if they receive your official transcript has has your A.A. degree on it, they will look at that and give you their decision once they look over it. It’s not like they look at your transcript, say your in or not, and wait weeks before they let you know a decision. You’ll probably know something within the next 2 weeks if not sooner since you’ve received your A.A. That was my case and I got a decision in about a week.

my only concern is that the portal says their waiting on confirmation of the AA, so it makes me wonder if they got them or if they just haven’t updated the information on the website

Does it also day anything about waiting on any official transcripts? I know mine said that UNTIL the admissions office received my transcript and the status changed over to “we have received your official transcript. Thank you.” Or something of the sort. My status saying “we are waiting on confirmation of an A.A. degree” did not change UNTIL they updated my admissions decision letting me know that I was offered admission to the Fall term.

So when they receive your official transcript, they will let you know so. When they make a decision on the basis of receiving your official transcript, your admissions decision will be updated telling you whether you are accepted or not.

Thank you. Yeah mine says its waiting for the official transcript. It also says that “we are waiting on confirmation of an A.A. degree”. So i guess it’s just a waiting game now lol. Thank you for your advice. I just get paranoid lol

Oh I understand how you’re feeling lol. I went through the same thing but it was worth it. I’d say check back in a week and see if your status has changed. If you check everyday that will make it worse for yourself lol…I know I did and it drove me crazy. Good luck, though! I hope everything goes well for you.

I was in the same position as you until yesterday!! I sent out my final transcript on the 23rd showing that I received my AA and was getting really nervous when I noticed no update on my ucf portal that they had received it. so on the 28th I emailed admissions asking if they had received my final transcript and they emailed me back on the 29th saying to check myucf portal and I received my admission decision! I just though it was crazy how when I emailed them I got my admission the decision the next day haha. so if it makes you feel better I would email admissions and just express your concern about them receiving your final transcript and maybe you’ll get a decision real soon!

Congratulations, ambsy!

i’m going to email them. I’m just worried because I’m gonna need finacial aide and the deadlines in 2 weeks so i need a decision lol

i was also wondering what you said in your email lol. DOn’t wanna come off sounding like an ass

thanks iamblessed!!

and I was just like, “Hi, I sent in my final transcript showing that I completed my AA degree on (date you sent it) and still haven’t seen an update that admissions has received it when I checked myUCF portal (date you checked it and still see no change). I was just concerned about my final transcript being received in time since the deadline is July 1.” something like that lol.

thanks for the advice. I will email them on tuesday
