How many AP classes did you take to get into UMich? Also, what was your ACT score?

Admitted for Class of 2015, although admissions have become increasingly competitive in recent years due to the switch to the Common App.

In any case, 3.95 UW GPA, in state, 31 ACT, 4 AP classes + 3 honors classes. Would still think similar stats would be a match for admissions.

^ It would still be a match (or slightly high match) for in state students.

I was accepted last year to Arts & Sciences (out of state, Early Action).
My school offered four AP classes. I took three classes and seven exams (with five 4s and two 3s, so the scores werenā€™t very good), and nine university classes. My ACT score was 35 and I had a 3.99 unweighted GPA.

Thanks for the feedback guys!

Accepted to U Mich - College of Letters, EA

8 AP Classes with a big downward trend Junior year, but my 1st trimester Senior Year was my best GPA with the hardest courses.

APā€™s really donā€™t matter - it really depends on your school. Admitted to UMich - my school offers maybe 3-4 APā€™s, Iā€™ve taken one. Taking my second AP senior year.
On that note, I have taken a lot of dual-enrollment classes as well as honors, so that could play into it.

I took some honors in freshman and sophomore year (my school doesnā€™t allow APs until junior year), and then I only took one junior year and am taking 3 plus a college spanish class this year. I am sure you will be fine, as I was admitted to CoE with a 34 ACT. HOWEVER, AP classes at my school are really hard and if you get an A out of the class you will probably get a 5 on the test.

I only took AP psych and AP microeconomics for my senior year this year. I got a 30 on my act. Iā€™m glad they let me in even though I didnā€™t bother with a bunch of AP classes I didnā€™t even care for. These two i like.

I took AP chem, lang, history, gov, and tested of psych. Have a pretty average GPA and a 28 ACT yet got in. Really, at this point it is about essays and what you can offer other than a test score. Though, Iā€™m in state so take my word with a grain of salt.

@Aaly222 Your course load and score is pretty close to mine! How many and which extra curriculars did you have?

33+, 12-15 aps i forget

I took 2 honors and 8 AP classes, didnā€™t send in my AP scores though

Thanks guys!

Five AP classes, took three of the exams. 33 on the ACT.

5 AP (5s on the 2 before senior year), 2 Honors, 4.0 UW GPA, 34 ACT, in state

11 APs total when I graduate. 5ā€™s on the 9 Iā€™ve taken so far. 2370 SAT, in-state.

Any newly accepted student stats?

Son just got accepted to COE end of March after being deferred EA. We are OOS. He will have taken 8 or 9 AP classes by the time he graduates. Also has taken some dual credit classes. Goes to a good public high school that does not rank. Only knows he is in the top 5% out of approx. 800 students in his class. ACT was a 34, 2190 on his SATā€™s. 4.3 weighted GPA. Weak on the extracurriculars but had excellent recommendations. It is hard to know what stands out to the admissions staff. Son sent two letters of burning desire with updates. Also got a 5.0 out of 4.0 this past semester which may have helped. Good luck!!

Is he going to attend Michigan KityKaty13?

Rjkofnovi,
Pretty sure my son will attend. Going for one more campus visit on Monday. Financial aid came through with nice grant to help offset OOS cost. Son very excited. Best of luck!
