I was accepted last year to Arts & Sciences (out of state, Early Action).
My school offered four AP classes. I took three classes and seven exams (with five 4s and two 3s, so the scores werenāt very good), and nine university classes. My ACT score was 35 and I had a 3.99 unweighted GPA.

APās really donāt matter - it really depends on your school. Admitted to UMich - my school offers maybe 3-4 APās, Iāve taken one. Taking my second AP senior year.
On that note, I have taken a lot of dual-enrollment classes as well as honors, so that could play into it.

I took some honors in freshman and sophomore year (my school doesnāt allow APs until junior year), and then I only took one junior year and am taking 3 plus a college spanish class this year. I am sure you will be fine, as I was admitted to CoE with a 34 ACT. HOWEVER, AP classes at my school are really hard and if you get an A out of the class you will probably get a 5 on the test.

I only took AP psych and AP microeconomics for my senior year this year. I got a 30 on my act. Iām glad they let me in even though I didnāt bother with a bunch of AP classes I didnāt even care for. These two i like.

I took AP chem, lang, history, gov, and tested of psych. Have a pretty average GPA and a 28 ACT yet got in. Really, at this point it is about essays and what you can offer other than a test score. Though, Iām in state so take my word with a grain of salt.

Son just got accepted to COE end of March after being deferred EA. We are OOS. He will have taken 8 or 9 AP classes by the time he graduates. Also has taken some dual credit classes. Goes to a good public high school that does not rank. Only knows he is in the top 5% out of approx. 800 students in his class. ACT was a 34, 2190 on his SATās. 4.3 weighted GPA. Weak on the extracurriculars but had excellent recommendations. It is hard to know what stands out to the admissions staff. Son sent two letters of burning desire with updates. Also got a 5.0 out of 4.0 this past semester which may have helped. Good luck!!
Rjkofnovi,
Pretty sure my son will attend. Going for one more campus visit on Monday. Financial aid came through with nice grant to help offset OOS cost. Son very excited. Best of luck!
