@TheWikiMan… now imagine how it would feel to be one of the 75% not accepted…

true that, but a 75% rejection rate is better than a 90% rejection rate, I am trying to be an optimist, but I like that you are keeping a check on that. haha.

Heh… I’m trying to be pessimistic so if I do by any chance actually make Wharton, I would literally be the happiest person alive.

Mathematician,

You have no friends.

First of all, his name is mathematicism and second of all, what the hell? All he said was that 6% is ridiculous. He didn’t personally attack you. You’re going to have a tough time on CC if you’re going to lash out in anger at every other person.

Yes, sir. My apologies, sir. No apologies to mathematician.

…sigh.
Somebody alert the mods of a potential ■■■■■?

Yeah report me, you could add it to you’re activities list!

Activity: reporting ■■■■■■
Years: 11-12(year I realized CC could make me feel like I had a social life!)
Description: president of keeping the CC safe from ■■■■■■ club, won awards, interned at ■■■■■-b-gone. Attended upenn summer program to fight ■■■■■■

Haha you guys are way too humor, I realize that CC is a group of dointers, and I apologize for joining. Don’t need to wish you guys good luck on apps, since you’ve been preparing since the womb. Might want to start looking on eBay for social lives guys. Prove me wrong if you actually have one, I’m ALL ears.

Right…and your social life involves insulting people on Wharton threads in CC? And only you would know Ebay sells social lives ^.^

I’m sure we are way too “humor”.

lol dointers.

Going crazy staying at home on a Saturday to do college apps. Gotta pass downtime somehow.

Sorry this is nearly two years late but I just wanted to corroborate with the calculations.

5500 applicants

Assumption: 790 ED Applicants

RD Acceptance Rate: 6%
ED Rate: Unknown

Overall Accepted: 500

So if 23% of the dudes are accepted, 184 students are accepted.

Hence, a further 366 students will be accpeted in RD
So, if 790 apply ED, approximately 4760 will apply RD.

Therefore, 366/4760=7%.
However, the ED rate is something like 6%.
Assuming 790 to be correct, you’re calculation is in fact very accurate. Additionally, the admission rate may increase even further because many of the applicants are applying to Coordinated Programs with the single option in a Non-wharton school.

So can we agree the rate is 20%-25%? In that case I might apply!

“So can we agree the rate is 20%-25%? In that case I might apply!”

If you are talking about the early decision admit rate to Wharton, I sincerely doubt it is that high.

I doubt ED to Wharton is more than 17%. Obviously I have no statistics to back that up, but that’s my guess.
