Wharton

How many wharton kids do they take ED? 200 ish?

About 5,000 apply
They accept 600
About 500 actually enroll.

I actually have a friend who is an assistent to a Vice Dean of admissions.. and he told me that they accept 11-12%

what do the other 100 do? WHY wouldn't you go to wharton if offered admission?

besides fin aid

that's the OVERALL rate. Wharton411 is asking about the ED rate. I think typically they fill about 40% + of the class with ED applicants, so 200ish would be about right.

oh yea.. oops

paro...people who get accepted to Harvard/Yale/Chicago for Econ might rather go there...it seems plausible that 1/6 of those accepted would choose to go elsewhere

ah, thats true.

what about RD? how many apply? and how many get in?

500/600 still translates out to 83% yield, which is incredible. Higher than Harvard's. Of course, Wharton is more specialized and people applying to it are less likely to wander off to an 'equivalent' elsewhere.

no Wharton takes about 700 (including dual and joint degree candidates) to fill about 500 seats...

I was talking straight up Wharton.
All of the duals admit about 60 each for 50 seats, except for the Life Sciences (wharton/cas) which only has 25 seats.
But Wharton itself admits 600 for 500 seats

I am guessing that by "straight up" Wharton you are referring to the single degree program. In that case, Wharton admits around 500 for about 400 spots.

Do the 500 people include all those that got rejected from the dual/joint degree programs and indicated to be considered for wharton in the single degree program?

All of the people who don't choose wharton instead chose suicide by self inflicted sword wounds.

WhartonAdvisor is a master of this technique.

WhartonAdvisor... do you know approximately what the ED rate specifically for Wharton is...?
