How many APs is too many? (senior year)

Hi everyone, I am currently planning to take 6 AP classes next year, my senior year. I am GENUINELY interested in all of them, I’d just like to hear if it is doable.

Here they are:

AP Eng Lit
AP Chem
AP Calc BC
AP Computer Science Principles (new class, but supposed to be easy)
AP Psych (online)
AP Stats

I’m also taking an accelerated AP Chinese course this summer, but I’m probably not taking the AP exam, maybe the subject test.

Doable if you manage your time well and don’t fall behind.

What’s the most AP classes you have taken at one time in the past?

@carolinamom2boys 3 APs this year (and 3 difficult honors courses)

What 3 have you taken?

Calc AB, APUSH, and AP Lang

AP Lit and AP Psych both require extensive reading, AP Calc and AP Stats will also require extensive work and AP Computer Science principles is a new class . It sounds like a lot. Are you willing to risk tanking your GPA to take such a rigorous schedule . Your senior year will be busy with college applications, essays etc. It’s entirely a personal decision , but IMO it sounds like a lot.

I would ditch AP Stats and also not worry too much about AP Psych
