Freshman: None (not allowed to take AP’s yet)
Sophomore: AP US History I (only class offered, we split APUSH into 2 years)
Junior: AP US History II, AP English Language and Composition, AP Biology
Senior: AP European History, AP Calculus AB, AP US Government and Politics, AP Environmental Science

it’s honestly not that bad,
but for those of you doing self studying, good luck, cuz it’s not the same as actually taking the class. Furthermore, you might find yourself compromising on the study material.
my parents didnt pick my classes, i have the habit of picking my classes a week or 2 before school starts.

freshman: none

sophmore:

ap art history
ap world history
ap calculus bc
ap stats
ap psychology

junior:

ap macro
ap micro
ap lang
ap us history
ap calc ab – (why???)

senior:

ap lit
ap u.s gov
ap euro
ap physics c
ap chem

if you guys want to really stuff urselves, do ACDEC

Most of these AP’s are superfluous(SAT Word of the Day) and waste of money:

Honestly, though…
Let’s say for example you’re a business major…
Do you even NEED AP Environment?
Do you wholeheartedly believe that you will ever take such an Environmental Science class in college.

Remember WHY the AP is used. It’s secondary effect is that it looks appealing and tough, but it’s true purpose is to provide College Credits for those not in College yet so that when they take the class in college they may pay less or skip to the next level. Paying 86$ - or whatever it is nowadays - seems useless if you won’t take the class in college. This is just me, but I personally believe that the AP test is almost a double-edged sword because if you’re going to Med school or anything of the likes, it would be more beneficial to not use the AP credits and take the easy class and get a good GPA rather than struggle in a more advanced class and get a mediocre GPA.

During my Sophomore Year I took:
AP Statistics
AP Human Geography (Didn’t take test)

For my Junior year:
AP Chem
APUSH(Not taking test)
AP Calculus BC
AP Spanish
AP Lit(Not taking test)

For my Senior:
AP Bio
AP Physics
AP English Lang(Not taking test)
AP Gov (Not taking test)
A Calc III class at a local CC (Not an AP, but same effect).
AP Computer Science

I might self-study Latin because I speak it pretty well and will probably take it in College.

Personally, I want to be Major in Pre-Medicine and Minor in Behavioral Analysis
Notice how only the AP classes that I believe remotely coincide with my major are the ones being taken.

I am taking APs for the credit and the more advanced classes. However, my school only offers limited opportunities to take them, so I’m not sure what I’ll do.
Freshman Year: n/a
Sophomore Year: AP Euro
Junior Year: AP Bio, APUSH, considering self-studying AP Stats or AP Econ (Macro/Micro) or something like that
Senior Year: AP English Lit, AP Psych, AP Gov and if I’m crazy enough and decide I’d rather take APs than actually do anything fun then AP Calc AB. The problem is that Calc is in the same bar as Graphic Design which I really want to take because it’s really fun and I’ve wanted to take it ever since I satrted high school and heck, I’m gonna be a senior! And possibly self study whichever one I don’t get around to doing in junior year or maybe AP Comp Sci.
The thing is that I would drown in the work even without the APs so as someone in Harry Potter says, “May as well be hanged for a dragon as an egg!” But my parents said that they won’t get me the books to self study unless my first semester grades are decent.
So I’ll figure it out.

I’m not taking an AP class but i’m going to supplement my Gov’t class with some stuff I learn outside and take the test because I want to.

I dunno, some people want to challenge themselves without the sole purpose of impressing people/colleges. I personally don’t see how self-studying for AP tests is a way to do that, though.

Soph: US History (got a 5 )
Jr: Calc AB, US Gov, Physics B, English Lang
Sr: Calc BC, Chem, Lit, Econ
I’ll take the Latin test either junior or senior year, depends on how well I do in class…

No APS first two years due to school policy.
Junior- AP Stats, AP Lang, and APUSH.
Senior- AP Gov, AP Euro, AP Lit, AP Calc AB, AP Calc BC, maybe AP Chem, and AP Bio.

AP Biology
AP US History
AP Environmental Science (self hopefully)

Senior: not sure yet… but I really hope I’ll be able to take all of the following !

AP English
AP Calculus
AP Economics: Macro & Micro (online)
AP Computer Science (online)
AP Statistics (online)
AP Physics B (self)
AP Physics C (not sure which one yet) (self)

I’m really not sure about senior year APs yet… =
