How many APs?

wait... ***... 7 hours a homework a night?
that definitely translates to no life... I'm taking 3 AP classes, and 3 extra online classes, and an IB class and i still manage to limit my homework down to an hour or two a night maximum.

i dont believe the bs on these threads...no one is taking 20+ AP courses unless you have NO LIFE...honestly theres not any room in a schooll schedule and who does that or has time outside of school

lots of kids at my schoo pity me like you do branderson. i've come to realize that they pit me because they aren't mature enough to realize that stupid **** that most teenagers do in high school has no ing value at all. you may say that doing 7 APs has no value, and i totally agree. i'm not taking AP's to take APs, im taking them because i enjoy learning and pushing myself, and APs just happen to be the best way to do that. and i plenty of EC's. I just posted my resume on the "what are my chances" forum. look for a thread that goes something like "Chance... UC Berkeley", and you'll see that my EC's are nothing to laugh at buddy. u may think that its makes life impossible, but it doesn't. you just don't know how to work efficiently. i save excersize for the weekend and summer. i know it may not be that health, but who cares. i'm only working like this for 9 months, which is like .3% of my life. i can deal with being unhealthy for .3% of my life if i can learn 10x as much. you say i don't have fun, but i do. i street race like hell (not formal, just with guys i meet on the streets) and once you mature to a certain point, you find learning to be fun and enjoyable. and speaking of relationships with family members, that's just lol. my mom is a complete idiot and not worth spending time with, and my dad is a workaholic, so i hardly get to see him. even if i didn't have 7 hours of homework, i still wouldn't maintain strong family relations so why not learn instead of trying to forge **** family relationships anyways.not to mention, it makes my dad ****ing proud to see me work like hell, and that's all that both of us need in our relationship to make it work. o yea, and on top of all of that, i have girlfriend, and have had one since September.

huh? two hour max with 7 classes? w-t-f are you ppl on? and where can i get some?

and sk33, you are freakin crazy and i hope i stay away from ppl like you in college. u r nuts! 7 hrs/night!? this thread is insane.

all it matters is that ur cool with workload and arent bogged down.

Good job with your classes and I hope u get accepted to ur colleges

grade 11: AP US History and AP English Lang

but ive been taking math and will be taking science electives at a community college....

I'm taking 4 next year(jr). We only have 5 class slots though. This year im taking 1, but there is only 1 offered.

uhh sk33? I take 8 this year and I do less than 40 minutes of homework for any of them a night....

look
COLLEGES DO NOT CARE IF YOU TAKE 20+ APS
THEY JUST WANT TO SEE YOU CHALLENGE YOURSELF--NOT KILL YOURSELF WITH THE AMOUNT OF WORK................

I WOULD SAY THAT 5-10 APS IS GOOD..................

ONE : CHEM
lmao

When I finish highschool, I will have taken 4 (1 jr year and 3 this year.)

13 total (entire high school career)

hey ballin4ever,
i don't take ap's to impress colleges.i take take them cuz i enjoy learning. it just so happens that ap's offer are the best way to learn as much as possible. and just an FYI, taking ****loads of AP's can seriously help you get into college. if you get National AP Scholar after your junior year (which i should be getting btw), which is pretty damn hard, that is a major item to put on your resume. in my school, 24 people were National Merit FINALISTS last year, and they were the top .5%. out everybody at my school though, only 2 got National AP Scholar. don't you think that says something about the kinda student you are? that kinda designates you as a beast.

if i had known about APs a year earlier I would be national AP scholar already LOL!

This Year: Calc BC, Stats, Psychology
Junior Year: Chinese, Music Theory, Environmental, Macro, Micro, Physics B, Chem, Compsci AB, English Lang, US History

3+10+6=19 but only three this year.

I'm in two AP Classes this year, but I'm not taking the AP Statistics exam. However, I will be taking the AP microeconomics test next thursday. I should probably start studying for that.......

9 throughout high school, euro, stats, us history, bio, english lang, english lit, french, macroeconomics, us gov

I took 3 last year, 5 this year, and 7 next year, for 15 total :P

Biology - 4
World History - 5

AP Chemistry

ok chocolatecake is reasonable- 6 APs- very hard worklaod but not over the top- if you have 8 APs and less than 40 minutes of work per night then your school sucks- since in my honors classes id say avg is 40 minutes a night in each class-- get a life people i cant say it enough times

LOL!!!!!!!!! Chill yo, I only take 4 APs in school; two of them are stats and physics, which take me a combined 25 minutes to do because I'm adept at them. The other two...you're right, it ranges from 40 to 80 minutes, depending on how much I get in those two.
