I don't want to use the score ranges anymore since there's a pretty big gap. Also, I got 3 wrong and 3 O for math and that amounted to a 670 M, so I was wondering if I got 2 wrong and 2 O would that amount to a 700? Mostly I'm hoping you guys know from your own personal experience with the sats since I know you guys have to work with the ranges as well on the practice tests. And I know the Writing is insecure when the essay comes to play, and if you feel like looking it up, say I got a 10 essay. Thank You! Anything will help, I feel like.

Tip: Don’t omit - if you can narrow down to even 3 (preferably 2) choices, you have a higher likelihood of doing better by guessing rather than omitting.

And to answer your question:
Math - This is a tough section, not as far as content goes but the curve. More than ~3 wrong and you could be out of the 700s. Aim for an 800 on this; that way, if you miss you’ll at least be in the 700s.

CR - I believe you can miss ~7 and still get at least a 700, 6 to be safe. This is the best section, as far as curve goes, but worst if you look at the content since the questions can be tricky.

Writing - With a 10 essay, I believe you can miss around 4, maybe even 5 and still score in the 700s. The curve fluctuates a bit since I’ve seen 3 wrong + 10 essay be anywhere from a 720 to a 740. This kind of score can generally be achieved if you just say the sentence out loud in your head (lol) and if you generally practice proper grammar in daily writing and conversation.

Hope this helps! Good Luck! :)

Thank you! Your math comment about aiming for a 800 makes me sad, but of course I’ll have to aim higher
Anybody else?

Miss a couple on the Math and you’re down to 750.
