<p>I know this thread can be found somewhere in the archive, but I'm too lazy to find out.</p>

<p>How many colleges are YOU applying to?</p>

Probably 8-10.</p>

<p>My son is applying to 5 reaches (too many), 4 targets, and 4 safeties.</p>

<p>I’m applying to 5 schools: Columbia ED, University of Michigan EA, Kalamazoo College EA, New York University, Georgetown University.</p>

<p>Reaches: Harvard, MIT, Yale, Princeton
Matches: Columbia (low reach), Dartmouth (low reach), BC
Safeties: UConn, WPI, UMass</p>
