How many credits are most of you taking?

Everyone here doing nine or is that more of a low amount?

working, ta's, research?

I'm just trying to get a feel overall what people are able to do during grad work.

9 credits so far per semester and 6 during the summer

How would you advise this--

My school (third tier) does an accelerated MA where you spend 4 years to get your BA and then a year for an MA.

I'm set to finish easy with a double major in 3 and 1/2 years... So I have a semester and summer open before I would like to be in a more prestige. I thought, if I had the chance, might as well do the courses and try some grad work before going to a more respected school.

By being in an accelerated program I get 12 credits from undergradute,
I thought if I could take 12 during the spring and then 6 during summer I'd be able to do it (non-thesis).

Is 12 too much? I wouldn't need to be working, I can't speak for the grad courses, but undergrad has been a breeze. Can it be done?

i will be taking at least 15 in the fall...i'm doing 7 this summer.

i took 15 my first semester, 17 my second semester and will be taking 22 this fall.

18 the first quarter.

My first year of my MS I took 9 credits a semester in addition to my load of independently teaching 3 intro labs.

Summers in my field are solely used for research or internships (normally research). None of the schools I attended even offer graduate-level courses during the summer in my field.

This past year, the second year of my MS, I took 6 credits a semester. This included one class and 3 credits of research/thesis. I also continued to teach 3 intro labs.

I can't recall how many I have to enroll in for the fall, as I'll be starting my PhD at a new school.

i'm in a masters program: past two quarters i've taken 12 units (3 classes), TAed a lab course (13h/week), and did research (15h+/week) -- and i would say that i was busy but not overloaded with work

next year i'll be entering a PhD program and i plan to take 2-3 classes the first two quarters -- then spring quarter i'll be free to do solely research -- PhD students at my current school take 2 classes per quarter, TA one class (usually 10-16h depending on how experienced you are, and if you got lab or recitation to teach), and spend on average 20h+/week working in a lab
