My school requires 2 credits of phys. ed. and .5 credit of high school health. Since phys. ed. (and health) are half year courses, we need to take it every year (and most students take health sophmore year).

We have to take "Project Adventure" (team building activies) for 2 PE credits. We then have to earn 2 others through participating in school sports (or, intramural/personal training, but then you have to write and paper and come up with evidence that you actually participated in a sport). Project Adventure is annoying- you take it one semester, and Health the next, so one year I had NO ROOM for electives! But I've already gotten all of my sport credits from XC/track.

God, don't even get me started. I have to find a way to get out of it or it totally screws up my schedule next year and I can't do much of what I want to do.

Current school: 1 year of gym, .5 of health
Moving to school: 1 year of gym, 1 year of health

My school requires 1 PE credit. The PE classes are each a semester. Most people usually take one semester freshman year and another semester of PE sophomore year.

And .5 credit of health...we learned lots about STDS.

dos anos of PE

At my school it's two years of general PE, and then as a junior or senior you take a PE "elective." (I took Aerobic Walking, hahaha.... best class ever, all we did was take a walk every single class period... sometimes we even walked to Starbucks and got to buy coffee)

2 for gym, 1/2 for health. Gym is every other day for four years.

2 years .

1 credit, .5 of it being Personal Fitness. They all require Health (0.5), but it doesn't count as a PE class here.

0000000000000000000000000000

.5 PE and either 2 seasons of a school sport or .5 credit.

a semester of personal fit (p.e.) and a semester of health.

and then during p.e., one day per week is a "classroom day" where you learn about how to stay safe while exercising.

i guess we get off easy =)

8th and 9th grade one semester PE class as a required course
10th grade one semester PE class or Fitness class for a required core credit course (4 credits)

PE is the most useless class I've ever taken. Fitness was MUCH better.
All we did was play dodgeball
